Milan & The Italian Lakes Fashion, Food & Culture

Why This Trip?
Forget rushing from city to city. This Milan-based itinerary lets you settle in, eat well, and explore at your own pace. You will discover why Milan is Italy’s most stylish and surprising city—then escape to the iconic shores of Lake Como and the medieval hilltops of Bergamo.

One home base. Six unforgettable days. No stress.

The Experience
You will arrive in Milan and check into a central hotel. Your adventure begins with an orientation walk past the magnificent Duomo and through the glass-vaulted Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II—the world’s oldest shopping mall.

Over the next few days, you will:

Walk with a guide through Milan’s historic heart: the Duomo, Castello Sforzesco, the fashionable Brera district, and the glamorous Via Montenapoleone.

Taste your way through Milan with market visits to Mercato Centrale, a traditional aperitivo experience, and an optional hands-on cooking class where you will learn to make fresh pasta and creamy risotto.

Cruise the canals of Navigli – Milan’s hidden “Little Venice” – and uncover secret courtyards most tourists never see.

Then you will escape the city for two unforgettable day trips:

Lake Como – You will walk the charming streets of Como town, ride the lake promenade, and visit picture-perfect villages like Bellagio, with the Alps shimmering behind sparkling blue water.

Bergamo – A short train ride takes you to a medieval hilltop citadel encircled by Venetian walls. You will lose yourself in Piazza Vecchia and take in breathtaking views from Bergamo Città Alta.

You return to Milan each evening. No luggage shuffling. Just pure travel joy.

What Makes This Trip Special
Zero hotel hopping – Sleep in Milan every night. Day trips are easy by train.

Food you will remember forever – Risotto alla Milanese. Cotoletta. Aperitivo at golden hour. Then do it again.

Lake Como without the crowds – We help you avoid the busiest times and show you where locals go.

Hidden Milan – Beyond the Duomo lie quiet courtyards, local wine bars, and the atmospheric Navigli canals.

Bergamo’s medieval magic – A 50-minute train ride takes you 400 years back in time.
